Women Professors Program
FlexiKids
FlexiKids offers flexible emergency care for children aged 6 months to 12 years in the event of childcare bottlenecks (e.g. if the childminder is unavailable or a business trip at short notice). This service is aimed at all KIT employees and students.
Gender roles in an intercultural context
The roles of women and men and the associated expectations differ depending on the culture. When these different role expectations clash, this often leads to misunderstandings and even blockages and rejection. If you are experiencing role-specific conflict situations that are affecting you and your work performance and are looking for effective solutions, please contact us at Giik∂peba.kit.edu and we will deal with your concerns confidentially and discreetly.

Support for appointment procedures for W1 professorships with tenure track
Appointment procedures at KIT should be gender-equitable and systematic. To support this target, PEBA offers support for the appointment committees specifically for the appointment of W1 professorships with tenure track. The support focuses on making the process structured, transparent and fair. The aim is to attract the best minds to KIT with a clear requirements profile and an appealing job advertisement.
In view of the fact that the appointment to a W1 professorship with tenure track takes place at an early stage of the academic career, another focus of the support is on assessing potential. This makes it possible to systematically accompany the development of the usually still young scientists and to have a well-founded view of the existing potential and its further development.
