As the central Service Devision of the President, Executive Office, Strategy, and Communications supports the Executive Board and other stakeholders at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) across divisions in strategic, communicative, and administrative tasks.

Strategic Development Service Unit

The framework conditions for science are changing — and so are its institutions. Our goal is to identify and accompany developments that sustainably strengthen KIT and maintain its adaptability. We support appointment procedures, address the topics of equal opportunities and diversity, and develop concepts for the future. Based on strategic controlling, we create a reliable foundation for decisions concerning strategic development. We work in the background so that science can succeed in the foreground — always with a focus on the needs of science and society.

We serve as a central point of contact — internally for science and administration, and externally for our stakeholders. We carry out our tasks within four Business Units.
