At KIT, we concentrate on the three main areas of "enabling individual life plans", "creating fair framework conditions" and "developing diversity competence" and are currently focusing on the topics of equal opportunities and internationalization.

The basis for gender and diversity-oriented action is a comprehensive and consolidated gender and diversity competence of all employees at KIT - especially of heads and managers.

Diversity Monitoring

Our diversity monitoring records important aspects of diversity at KIT. Regular and systematic diversity monitoring is essential in order to continuously develop KIT with regard to the targets set out in the Diversity Statement. The diversity dashboard gives you an overview of how diverse KIT is and how KIT employees feel about diversity. The figures presented here are taken from the KIT Annual Report and the employee survey "Diversity and Cooperation at KIT". Detailed results can be found in the Diversity Monitoring Report.

Diversity-oriented teaching

Good teaching is also characterized by the fact that it focuses on the potential of all students. Recognizing and taking into account the diversity of students can initially be perceived as a didactic challenge. However, successful implementation creates a win-win situation for everyone involved.
