How fair are our decisions when we have limited time, incomplete information and different expectations of different people? This Lab explores how privilege, implicit bias and established norms can influence decisions about people, opportunities, resources and performance. Through short decision experiments and realistic cases, participants identify where seemingly neutral processes can produce unequal outcomes. Rather than trying to eliminate bias from individuals, we focus on practical “bias interrupters” that make decision-making more transparent, consistent and inclusive. Participants gain tools they can use when evaluating candidates, allocating tasks, selecting collaborators or making decisions in leadership roles.

Costs/ Payment
The costs per participants depend upon final participant number and will be covered by each respective research consortium.
